About me
My back ground in music started at a young age working in a various venues, most being nightclubs and large studio settings, other contributory factors to my knowledge of sound and acoustics is based on working closely with professional recording artists, this gives me insight to what is being looked for and how I can improve on what is already being used.
I have built studios for a number of radio stations and this developed my curiosity in acoustics further, building radio stations developed my knowledge of room isolation. This led to me creating my own design of studio insulation for clients that didn’t want to be heard. Having built these studios for over two decades, it has now become my expertise and I now design and build a variety studios for this use.
My formal qualifications include Basic Music Theory, HND & HNC in Music Theory, Sound Design and Foley, I then decided to challenge myself further and complete a BA Honours in Sound Engineering. By completing these formal qualification’s I gained an intense theoretical understanding of sound design in relation to acoustics.

My experience working in the cabelling industry have given me insight in to how to run cables safely whilst observing health and safety regulations, this is a hugely important factor of studio building, all construction of recording studios must comply with the health and safety and fire regulations. (find the correct act!!!)

For all recording studios, big or small, it is critical in terms of acoustical requirements, for this, upon surveying a space I perform a sound test where I am able to calculate the amount and types of materials required for the project.
These materials will be sourced by myself as I ensure to find the best materials possible to transform the sound energy in to an innocuous form, reasons this is imperative is to creating the best acoustic environment for my client.
I purchase materials from the local community near by my projects location, in order to support the local economy. In addition to this I aim to use as many recyclable materials as possible, these prove to be far more cost effective as well more durable - they absorb sound, deflect sound and last longer than conventional materials typically used for studio building.
My designs are designed to the bespoke individuality to the client and unique needs of each client
